Leslie and Gary's Engagement Photos

Leslie and Gary were a pleasure to work with. I've known Leslie for about five years or so and I've gotten to know Gary since the summer. Leslie was set on taking the pictures on the bridge over the Tail Race on the Old Glen Hwy. Well we drove by but the parking lot was closed and had yet to be plowed. I let them know that I was up for what ever they wanted to do. So we parked on the road and trugged through the snow for about a half of a mile to the bridge. We got cold and wet but it was a blast!

My First Solo Wedding

Breann and Ed are a lovely couple. They were so sweet and accommodating. I have known Breann for about 10 years and I had just met Ed. She asked me to shoot her wedding and I let her know up front that I had never had done one by my self before and she asked if I would give it a try... YES! Opportunities like that don't come around everyday. Before the wedding I think I was as nervous as the bride, but as soon as everything started my adrenaline started pumping and it was so much FUN!!!

Miss Livvy

This is three week old little Miss "Livvy." This summer I photographed her Mama and Daddy when she was in her Mama's belly. As you can tell she was not very happy during certain shots, but they made for some interesting pictures. She is a sweet and beautiful girl and I'm sure there will be more to come. Hex Scarf

I thought I would through in something other than a pair of shoes (although I have two more little girl shoes to debut). A couple of weeks ago I received a clothing magazine Garnet Hill Their clothes are expensive but VERY beautiful and classy. I found a scarf in there that I absolutely fell in love with called "Haverhill Afghan Scarf". It costs $88 and I thought "I can crochet so why can't I make something like this?"
So I went downstairs and dug around in my yarn tub and found some organic cotton that I used for making hats. I love this yarn because it is so soft and durable and it comes in all kinds of cool colors. Fantastic Fibers in Palmer carries it.
I didn't quite know how to crochet hexagons and I don't read patterns very well so I looked around until I found a close up picture. The picture I found came from this really crafty lady's blog So I figured out the pattern and made it. This scarf is going to a sweet little girl for Christmas:)
I would like to make another out of a more delicate, smaller strand of merino wool one day...

Another Pair

I made another pair of shoes this morning. I am going to try to make a pair a day until either I get tired of it or run out of material. I ordered a boot pattern yesterday that I am anxiously awaiting. In this pair the souls are made from a recycled purse from the thrift store.

Soft Baby Slippers

I have been wanting to make some of these slippers for a while. I finally found a pattern. They are supper easy and don't take to long at all...around an hour if your not interrupted.



The material is a bold corduroy flower pattern on the top, the heel and soul are from a recycled pair of cords from the thrift store and the inside is a soft pink and white flannel.
